My name is Alex. I am ten years old and in class five at ABC Primary School. I live in Nairobi, Kenya.

My mother’s name is Catherine. She stays at home and takes care of me and my younger brother Paul who is seven years old. My father’s name is Joseph. He works in an office as an accountant.

I like going to school. My best subjects are English and Mathematics. During every break time, I play football with my friends. John is my best friend. We sit together in class and do our homework together after school.

My class teacher’s name is Ms. Nancy. She teaches us English, Mathematics, and Science. I like the way she teaches. She makes learning interesting and fun.

During holidays I stay at home and help my mother with small household chores. I also help my father in the garden. We grow vegetables like spinach, kale, and tomatoes. My father says if I study hard, I will get a good job when I grow up, and then I can take care of my parents.

On weekends I sometimes go with my family to visit my grandfather and grandmother, who live nearby. My grandfather tells us many interesting stories about how life was when he was young. I enjoy listening to him.

In my free time, I like watching cartoons, playing with my toys, and reading story books. My favorite storybook character is Mowgli from The Jungle Book. I want to be brave and strong like him when I grow up.

I hope I keep studying hard and make my parents proud of me. I want to be a good son, a good student, and a good person who helps others. That is all about myself. Thank you for reading.

My name is Sharon. I am 13 years old and in class 7 at Royal High School in Nairobi, Kenya.

I live with my parents and two younger brothers. My father’s name is Joseph, and he works as an accountant. My mother’s name is Winnie, and she is a teacher. My brothers Peter and Michael are 9 and 7 years old, respectively.

I enjoy going to school and meeting my friends. My favorite subjects are English, Mathematics, and Biology. I enjoy learning new things and challenging myself. After school, I usually do my homework and then help my mother with household chores or spend time reading.

My class teacher, Mr. Odhiambo, teaches us English, History, and Christian Religious Education. He always encourages us to work hard and aim high in life. I respect him for being a caring and inspiring teacher.

In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, listening to music, and chatting with my friends. I also help my mother tend to our flower and vegetable garden. My favorite novel characters are Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables and Pippi Longstocking. Their adventurous spirit and love for nature inspire me.

My aspirations for the future include completing my high school education, pursuing a university degree in either teaching or medicine, and building a successful career that allows me to help others. Beyond that, I hope to get married, have children of my own, and build a loving and happy family.

As I reflect on who I am today, I see that I still have much to learn and improve upon. I want to cultivate good reading, writing, and speaking skills. I also want to strengthen my relationship with God through prayer and living according to Christian values.
